Some of our most notable projects include composing original music for Meta’s music initiative, creating a spatial audio sound design experience for Meta’s presentation at the 2022 Cannes Festival of Creativity, composing the soundtracks for Electronic Arts’ “Diner Dash Adventures” and “Cooking Dash,” providing orchestration for the AAA game “Return to Monkey Island,” offering copy services for composer Gordon Getty, and orchestrating the “One Piece” live-action show with composers Sonya Belousova and Giona Ostinelli.

Daria Novo a composer, arranger, and orchestrator working mainly in film and animation, as well as video games and musical theater. Having a strong classical music background and deep knowledge of music technology, Novo often fuses orchestral music with sound design in her work.

Among her works is a highly anticipated work for San Francisco Ballet’s Choreographer in Residence Yuri Possokhov “… Two united in a single soul”, original music and sound design for mobile games “Diner Dash Adventures” and “Cooking Dash”, and so on. Parallel to her active composer career, Novo has worked as a lead orchestrator with Sonya Belousova and Giona Ostinelli (“The Witcher” and “One Piece” by Netflix, NBC drama “The thing about Pam”, and more). She orchestrated a headliner of the 2021 Krakow Film Music Festival – The Witcher Suite featuring Belousova on piano performing with a symphony orchestra and choir to a cheering sold-out crowd, as well as One Piece – a fantasy adventure television series developed by Matt Owens and Steven Maeda for Netflix.

As a frequent collaborator with Meta Music Initiative and Meta sound design team, Daria Novo orchestrated and conducted a score for Mescaform Hill: The Missing Five – a VR animated graphic novel created for the Oculus TV platform by Edward Madojemu with the music of Dren McDonald.

Return to Monkey Island is coming from Ron Gilbert’s Terrible Toybox, in collaboration with Devolver Digital and Lucasfilm Games where Dara worked as orchestrator for the 2022 AAA game with music from Peter McConnell, Clint Bajakian, and Michael Land.

Novo founded her company, NovoMusic, to passionately create a community of female audio professionals where they can establish themselves in the field of audio by providing work for female recording engineers. She envisions this company as a place for women to come together to uplift each other in their musical journeys while elevating their scope and quality of work.

Molly Monahan is the Swiss army knife of music and audio. Her professional background includes everything from composing award-winning concert music to creating algorithmic music systems for mobile games.

Molly’s professional audio credits include creating the music content for mobile music remix games Top Mix and Infinite Mix, the former of which was featured as the App store’s Game of the Day in 2020. For Infinite Mix she also created and implemented a robust algorithmic music engine for all of the content in the game.

She worked as an orchestrator for the 2022 AAA game “Return to Monkey Island”, and worked on “The Sims 4: Discover University” as a voiceover editor and sound designer/music editor for the game’s promotional materials. She has worked on several projects with Meta Inc., creating immersive sound design experience “True Story” for their presentation at the 2022 Cannes Lions Festival, creating the audio processing for their text-to-speech for Instagram Reels, Portal, Oculus, and RayBans devices, and creating and implementing the audio effects for Facebook SoundBites. She also created and released her own generative music app, “Countrytron5000”, in 2018.

In the concert music world, Molly has received numerous accolades for her acoustic, electronic, and multi-media works. Her music has been performed in Shanghai, China for the 2017 International Computer Music Conference, National Sawdust in Brooklyn during the 2016 MATA Jr. festival, Utrecht, the Netherlands for the 2016 Basklarinet Festijn, and the Exploratorium museum in San Francisco for a 2019 collaboration with the ClimateMusic Project, among other places. In 2020, she was named an honorable mention recipient of the American Prize competition in the Pops/Light Music Composition category for her string quartet, “Songs for João”. Other competition successes include the Ti;ME competition, NextNotes competition, YoungArts, the Christopher Newport University Young Composer’s competition, and the Webster University Young Composer’s competition. She has also participated in the Hot Air Festival in San Francisco and the Sounding Now Festival in Singapore, and was a resident of the 2018 Estalagem da Ponta do Sol Residency for Contemporary Music and Electronics in Madeira, Portugal. In 2019 she also orchestrated the ballet “Trīs Draugi” for the Latvian National Ballet alongside Daria Novo for composer Pavel Akimkin.

Finally, Molly also creates dance music under the pseudonym “Papa Molly”, and has performed at places around San Francisco such as El Rio, Monarch, the Makeout Room, and the SF LGBT Center.

Shinae Lee is a media composer and orchestrator from South Korea, now based in San Francisco.

From the age of 9, she has been deeply immersed in music, serving for over 15 years as a pianist, flutist, and arranger at her church. Her early experiences laid a strong foundation in music, nurturing her talents and passion. During her university years at Seoul National University, Shinae was captivated by the rich orchestral sound during the first rehearsal of Beethoven’s Egmont Overture with her orchestra club. This fascination sparked a lifelong love for orchestral music, which continues to inspire her compositions.

Shinae earned her master’s degree in Technology and Applied Composition from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She has had the privilege of learning from esteemed industry veterans Daria Novo and Lennie Moore, further honing her craft under their guidance. During her studies, she joined Novo Music’s orchestration team, where she applied her skills in creating and orchestrating compelling scores for film and video games. Since graduating, she has been working at Novo Music as an orchestrator while also composing music for Korean independent films.

In recent years, Shinae has contributed to major projects in the film and video game industries as part of the Novo Music team. Notably, she worked as one of the orchestrators for the upcoming video game Death Stranding 2 (Kojima Productions), the film The Master and Margarita (2024), and she was involved in the orchestration work for Sonya Belousova & Giona Ostinelli, known for their compositions for The Witcher and One Piece (both by Netflix).

As a next-generation film music composer and orchestrator, Shinae is poised to shape the future of cinematic sound with her unique voice, combining her rich musical background with her passion for orchestral music.
